What does cost-per-hire include?
Internal recruiter time, external advertising (job boards, agency fees), interview time of hiring managers, visa & medical for relocated hires, onboarding materials, and pre-employment background checks. We sum all of these for you.
What's a typical cost-per-hire in the Middle East?
CIPD pegs average cost-per-hire at AED 7,000–15,000 in the UAE, SAR 8,000–18,000 in Saudi Arabia, and EGP 12,000–25,000 in Egypt. Senior or scarce roles can be 3–5× higher.
Are agency fees part of every hire?
No — only for roles where a recruitment agency is engaged. Set agency fee to 0 for in-house sourcing. Default agency fee is 15% of annual gross salary.
Should I include the manager's interview time?
Yes. Hiring is one of the costliest hidden expenses. A senior manager spending 4 hours per hire across 50 hires costs 200 hours of high-value time. We include this by default.
Does visa cost apply to local hires?
No. The default visa cost is per relocated hire only — local nationals (e.g., Saudis hired in KSA) do not incur visa fees. Set count of relocated hires separately.
