UAE Overtime Rules
Per Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 (Articles 19–20) and UAE Labour Law.
25% premium for overtime on regular working days. Applies when extra hours are worked on normal weekdays.
50% premium for rest days (Friday), public holidays, or overtime between 10 PM and 4 AM.
Overtime cannot exceed 2 hours per day under UAE Labour Law. Max 48 hours total per week including OT.
How to Calculate UAE Overtime
Input your basic monthly salary in AED. Allowances (housing, transport) are not included in overtime calculations per UAE law.
Input total overtime hours worked. Set working days per month (default 26 for 5-day week). This determines your daily and hourly rate.
Normal day overtime earns 25% premium (×1.25). Rest day, Friday, or night shift overtime earns 50% premium (×1.50).
